I know I can't be the only one that was going to a nail shop spending $50+ every  two weeks to leave out unsatisfied.  There was either a nail crooked or the shape wasn't exactly how I wanted it to be.  So I decided to do a little research (I think i can do anything lol), and I figured out how to do my own nails on a budget.   I watched multiple youtube videos to decide if I wanted to learn how to actually do acrylic or just use press on nails.  I was skeptical about press-on nails at first because I remember using them as a child and remember how flimsy there were and how quickly they would pop off.  But now I see that they have very high quality sturdy press on nails.  So I decided to go the press on route because the worse thing that could happen was that I didn't like them, and I would just have to start back going to a nail shop.

Here's what I did.

*I purchased coffin shaped nails from amazon.

*I purchased nail glue from my local Sally's Beauty Supply.

*I purchased a few OPI Nail Polishes.

(I already had the nail basics such as nail polish remover, filer and clippers.)

So, I washed my hands thoroughly, and then I used nail polish remover to ensure there wasn't any moister on my nails.

Then, sorted out the nails making sure they actually fit well before applying them.

I clip my nails, and buff them so the nails will last longer on a not so smooth surface.

When I apply the glue directly to my nail and then apply the press on works best for me so I won't add too much glue and create a mess.  I hold each nail for about 30 seconds to ensure it is adhered properly.

Once I apply all the nails, I shape them.  I like a narrow coffin shaped nail.

Then I apply the polish of choice.

This process usually only takes about 15-20 minutes, and you get to do this out the comfort of your own home while saving your coins honey!
